About this Site
-
This site describes classic and novel group games, activities, exercises and initiative tasks. Currently the games pages receive
about 3000 visitors a day.
-
The activities on this
site can be used in almost any setting with a wide variety of different
groups. Typical applications are for experiential education and training, camps,
group-based therapy and adventure-based
programs. The purposes of each individual activity vary, but the general purpose is to stimulate personal growth and group development.

This online collection was started in
2001 by
James Neill. I'd come across and heard about all sorts of
fascinating and wonderful ideas for group activities, but when it actually
came down to it, locating clear
descriptions was rarely easy.
After long, often disappointing hours foraging through a variety of books,
old program notes, websites, etc. I figured we needed a
user-friendly website with clear descriptions of both classic and novel
group activities.
